    Wednesday, June 28, 2017 : 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM

How do you handle loss? Everyone is different, but the skills needed are the same. Learn more about the skillset of grieving and the 4 steps to help you through loss. Remember, loss isn’t just limited to a death, so we welcome everyone who has experienced loss or wants to learn more. Join us for this special community book launch and reception for Donna Mathiowetz of Unfinished by Design, Hastings, MN, sponsored by the Wise Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 28th.

Wise Family Funeral & Cremation Services is delighted to invite you to a special event! Donna Mathiowetz, from Unfinished by Design of Hastings, MN, has been helping others deal with their grief and loss for over 3 decades. Donna recently published a new book in the form of a guided journal called, “A Journal for Your Journey: A Trip Without Regard to the Amount of Time It Takes”. Donna’s knowledge of grief and loss was born out of her own life experiences. She educates others as she shares her story in grief support groups, women’s groups, churches, schools and business settings.

Come join us for Donna’s local book launch! We will be hosting 2 sessions, complete with a reception with refreshments following each session. Attendees will have the chance to listen to Donna share about her own story of overcoming loss and how this fostered her passion of helping others. Donna will share insights to help you navigate various types of grieving and loss in life resulting from the death of a loved one, health issues, loss of a job, loss of independence, broken dreams, future plans and other life events.

The first 25 people to register for each session will receive a copy of Donna’s new journal. In it you will learn valuable and practical insights that will help you cope with loss in your life and be better equipped to help others as well. (Additional journals will be available to purchase at the event, as well.) We urge you to invite friends and family from Hastings and surrounding communities to attend.

We are excited to have Donna Mathiowetz here with us for this special event! At Wise Family Funeral Home, we continue to care for the living, while honoring those loved ones who pass away. We know and understand the pain and grief of losing a loved one, especially since we have been through that pain ourselves. We feel that it is vitally important to come together and connect as a community to add value to each other and to encourage healing. Our goal is to empower and educate the living to be a bright spot in the world, even in the toughest of times. This special event is one way we can do just that. We sincerely hope you will join us.
